Dates and the reported age of 30 do not agree with dates on Henry Mattingly's headstone. However, Amy (Sweet) Mattingly was his wife, so that points to timing of his death.

Death of Henry Mattingly.
Mr. Henry B. Mattingly died at the residence of his brother-in-law, Henry Burch, at West Louisville, yesterday morning at 7 o'clock, of typhoid fever. He was ill less than three weeks. He was about 30 years old. He was a very popular young man, and the death of no one in that community would have caused more universal sorrow.
