Notes - Carl Benton Ellis, Sr., 77, of DeKalb, IL, died Sunday, June 18, 1995 at Kishwaukee Community Hospital.
He was born June 13, 1918 in Farrington Township, Jefferson County, IL, the son of Harry Thomas and Cora Elizabeth (Williams) Ellis. He married Amy Elfreda Crouch on April 1, 1936 in Mt. Vernon, IL.
He was employed by Del Monte for 36 years and later was employed by J. P. Faivre Farms in DeKalb, IL.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during WWII. He was a member of American Legion Post 66 and the DeKab Moose Club.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Effie Wiggins and his parents.
Funeral services will be at 1 1 :00 a.m., Thursday, June 22, 1995 at the Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb, IL, with the Reverend Dennis Campbell of the Foursquare Church officiating. Burial will folbw at Fairview Park Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, June 21, 1995 form 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home.
A memorial has been established in care of the Anderson Funeral Home.
