He was a retired 1st class millwright with Colgate Palmolive Company and a member of Bible Wesleyan Church. Survivors include his wife, Thelma R. Cravens of Clarksville; his son, James E. Cravens; sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Robert E. and Carol Cravens of Beach City, OH, Rev. Mark L. and Teresa Cravens of Homeworth, OH, and Rev. Christopher D. and Julie Cravens of Findlay, OH; daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Joe Roberson of Phoenix, AZ, and Bobbie Kay and Terry Theisen of Belgrade, MA; sisters, Frances Lawton of Jeffersonville, and Dorothy Mitchum of Clarksville; brothers, George Cravens of Marysville, IN, William D. Cravens of Clarksville and Paul Cravens of Clarksville; a stepbrother, Melvin Edwards of Jeffersonville; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grand-children. His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2005, at Colgate Baptist Church, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon-3 and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at Coots Funeral Home, and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2005, at Colgate Baptist Church.
