- Mr. Guy William "Bill" Hahn, 60 of 413 Columbus Ave., Frederick, died Monday, Nov. 28, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
He was the husband of Joyce Gibbons Hahn, whom he married June 20, 1948.
Mr. Hahn was born Sept. 9, 1928, in Carroll County, a son of Margaret Hedges Hahn of Frederick and the late Guy David Hahn.
He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Independent Hose Co., and was an avid bowler.
He had been employed at Genstar Stone Products in the credit department for more than 38 years until his retirement in 1986.
Since 1986, he had owned and operated Bill's Signs Shop until his retirement due to poor health.
Surviving besides his wife and his mother are a daughter and son-in-law, Loretta A. and Grayson H. Mercer Jr. of Frederick; one son, William Edward Hahn of Bellvue, Colo.; one grandson, Grayson William Mercer of Frederick; one brother, Roland H. Hahn of Fort Myers, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hahn is at the Frederick Funeral Home of Robert E. Dailey and Son, 1201 N. Market St., where the family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at the funeral home, with his pastor, the Rev. Theodore E. Haas officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, near Frederick.
The family requests in lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy be made to the American Cancer Society, 11 W. South St., Frederick, or Grace United Church of Christ, 25 E. Second St., Frederick, Md. 23170.
