Notes - MHR note: Ida taught school in Vermilion County, Illinois from 1883-1891. In 1900 they moved to Medaryville, Indiana. In 1907 they moved to Tilton, Illinois and lived there until 1932. She went to Canton, then to Kilmichael, Mississippi until 1936, then back to Canton.
Ida May was immersed July 1875at German Schoolhouse near Fithian, Illinois.

Ida May (Hedges) and her husband, Lee Cronkhite, had one child, Mary Eliza, who died single.
Ida May Hedges is a member of the Christian Church, having been immersed by J.C. Myers in July 1875 at Gorman schoolhouse near Fithian, Ill. She taught school from 1883 to 1891 in Vermilion Co., Ill. The Lee Cronkhite family moved to Vandercook Co., Illinois near Danville, in March, 1907 and lived there till 1932. Her husband and daughter having died, Ida May (Hedges) Cronkhite moved then to Canton, Mo. to care for the grandchildren of her sister, at Kilmichael, Miss., she went down there, and returned to Canton, Mo,, in 1936. Here she remained till the death of her sister, Mattie, in 1942, when she went to Center Point, Iowa, to live with a niece, Flora Tillotson. In 1945 she traveled around visiting the families of her brother, Thaddeus, and her sister in Detroit, and spent the winter of 1945-46 with her sister, Blanche, in Kilmichael, Mississippi. Ida May Hedges was the daughter of Mary Ann (Vawter0 and her husband, Peter Thompson Hedges, and the second of their eight children.
