This record should be found betw. 1742 & 1762 in Prince Wm Co., York Co., Westmoreland Co., Hanover Co., or Henrico Co., Va. Their eldest son John Hunt, Jr. (John Tipton Hunt) was b. 1762 in Va. According to the grandsons of John Hunt, Sr., his 1st wife was Mary Overall, dau. of John of Prince William Co., Va., but his last wife was Esther ___. This John Hunt moved to North Carolina, Ten. & in 1791 purchased from Wm Lee a pre=emption of 1000 acres in Fayette (now Bourbon) Co., Ky. & according to a document, "John Hunt's heirs vs. Thomas Jones, Jr., Oct. 1819, Box 286, Bourbon Co. Circuit Court). "that the old man John died ca. 1809 intestate leaving your orators and also another son John Hunt, Jr., who refuses to report the rights of his ancestor; orators were: Reuben Hunt, Bazil Hunt; Absalom Hunt: Benjamin Fitzworth and wife Winny late Winnifred Hunt; Joseph Denton & wife Dradena, late Dradena Hunt who with John Hunt, Jr., comprise the whole & sole heirs of said John Hunt decd." This document also states that he moved to & died in Fleming Co., Ky.
