Denver L. Harvey, 79, of Vandalia, passed away after a lengthy illness on Nov. 5, 2000, at VA Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 13, 1920, in Mowrystown, and lived in Hillsboro years ago.
He served in the Air Force in World War II, was retired from NCR and was self-employed as a real estate broker.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Alma C. (Pierce) Harvey; one daughter and son-in-law of Vandalia, Norma and Bob Kamerer; one daughter and son-in-law in Wyoming, Teresa and Ray Barber; one son of Florida, Ed Harvey; one daughter-in-law of Alabama, Penny Harvey; seven grandchildren: Douglas Kamerer, Alan and Jennifer Monnin, John and Stacy Shampton, Nathan Barber, Jamie Barber, Miles and Melissa Harvey Harris and Kristine Harvey; and two great-grandchildren: Taylor Kamerer and Jonathon Harvey.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Ruth Harvey, of Mowrystown.
At his request, his body was cremated and private services were held.
