- Rainelle Woman Dies; Rites Slated
East Rainelle (RNS) - Mrs. Elizabeth (Pat) Meadows, 49, of East Rainelle died Wednesday night at her home after a long illness.
She was a member of the Sewell Valley Baptist Church.
Born Feb. 25, 1919, at Quinwood, she was a daughter of the late James and Edna Hedges McClung.
Survivors include her husband, Alva, two sons, Jerry and David, both of East Rainelle, four sisters, Mrs. Verna Rosewell of Gauley Bridge, Mrs. Maude Keavnoy, of Rainelle, Mrs. Florence Heights, of Kissimmee, Fla., and Mrs. Nellie Jennings of Athens; three brothers, Bras of McRoss, and Elvin and Ralph, both of Quinwood, and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Sewell Valley Baptist church with Rev. P.E. Orndroff and Rev. Henry L. Loving in charge. Burial will be in the Rainelle Cemetery.
The body will remain at the Don Smathers Funeral Hme in East Rainelle where friends may call after 4 p.m. today and will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Bedford Boggs, O.D. Ballengee, Lloyd Sanford, Claude Sanford, Ottie Goddard and John Manspite.
Women of the church will carry flowers.
