Notes - John Donald Morgan was born Nov. 14, 1919 in Royal, Iowa. He was one of 7 children born to James and Mattie Morgan: Evelyn Noreen (Morgan), John Donald Morgan, James Millard Morgan II, Inez May (Clifton), Doris Helen (Tiefel), Lowell Clifton Morgan, and Bernard Franklin Morgan.
He served in the Navy during WWII. Don married Bea Hoffman in 1943, in Vallejo, California. They returned to Iowa to farm and became the parents of four children.
In 1957 the family moved to Redondo Beach, California and lived there for 23 years. In 1980, Don and Bea moved to Arnolds Park, Iowa, to enjoy their retirement years at their lake home.
Don was a member of the V.F.W and the Eagles Lodge. He had a beautiful singing voice, a wonderful sense of humor, and a zest for life. He loved sports, fishing, hunting, golfing, boating, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family. He was truly loved by all who knew him, and is sincerely missed by all.
