- Retha M. Tracy
Loda – Retha M. Tracy, 44, of Loda and formerly of Raleigh, N.C., deid at 12:35 a.m. yesterday (Feb. 6, 1988) at Burnham Hospital, Champaign, after an illness of several years.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Ford-Baier Funeral Home, Paxton, the Rev. Paul Walles officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Loda.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
She was born Sept. 1, 1943, in Goreville, a daughter of Richard J. and Rosebud Overstreet Alsip. She married Glen Roger Tracy on Aug. 21, 1965, in Carbondale. He died Nov. 6, 1987.
Surviving are her mother, Loda; three daughters, Glenda Tracy, Waleska, Ga.; Brenda Tracy, Slidell, La.; and Joanna Tracy, Loda; one stepsister, Evelyn Kissee, Lacon; and two brothers, John Alsip, Oquawka, and Jim Alsip, Loda.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Mrs. Tracy graduated from Buckley-Loda High School in 1961, and graduated from beauty school at Bourbonnais in 1962.
She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church, Raleigh, N.C., and a former member of Paxton Rainbow for Girls.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
