      January 7, 1939 ~ June 25, 2022 (age 83)
Milton Eugene Hamilton, age 83, of Jackson Drive, Morehead, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born January 7, 1939, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Trace Brooks Hamilton and Rena Fraley Hamilton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Reverend Kenny Hamilton and Vernon Leon Hamilton, and one sister, Helen Tanner.

Milton’s devoted wife of 30 years, Guyneth Ann Estep Hamilton, passed away on February 1, 1988.

He is survived by three children, Darrel Eugene Hamilton and wife Connie, Bonnie Denise Hamilton, and Rex Leon Hamilton; one grandson, Alex Scott Hamilton and wife Skylar; two sisters, Barbara Lawhorn and Mildred Parker, all of Morehead, as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends, who will miss him greatly. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Firstlight Home Care of the Foothills and especially to Milton’s caregivers Liz Kegley, Stephanie Kegley, Katelyn Howard, and Kelsey Caudill for their loyalty and compassionate care through the years.

Milton was well known for his work ethic and helping others. He was the mill manager at Harold White Lumber for 65 years and the Whites referred to Milton as the second patriarch of the White family. Work, to Milton, was his hobby, although he enjoyed dirt track racing and riding his Harley-Davidson on occasion. He loved his family dearly and cherished his only grandchild. Milton demonstrated the core values that were so important to him in his everyday living. He was a Christian and long-time member of Sharkey Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Harley Sexton, Jr., and Pastor Elijah Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Adams-Plank Cemetery.

Pallbearers: David Johnson, Lee White, Sawyer White, Ray White, Jr., C. W. Cornett, and Jeff Parker.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
