    • SOUTH SHORE, Ky. - Arthur Carl (Willie) Miller, 86, of South Shore, died Saturday at home after a brief illness.
      An Ironton, Ohio, Native and a World War I veteran, he was retired from the former Selby Shoe Co. in Portsmouth, Ohio.
      Preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Lucille Hunt Miller, in 1975, he is survived by three daughters, Kathryn VanHoose and Dorothy Williams, both of South Shore, and Thelma Mercer of Portsmouth, two brothers, Omer Miller, minister, of Russell, and Earl of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Erma Sammons of South Shore; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
      Services at planned at 1 p.m. Tuesday at South Shore First Church of God, with Rev. Harley Johnson officiating, and burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
      Military rites by James L. Flannery Post 276 American Legion are planned.
      Friends may call at Roberson Funeral Home from 3 to 9 p.m. today, and until services Tuesday.
