- Brady Walter Dial
Brady Walter Dial, son of Brady and Rebecca (Gallion) Dial, was born Jan. 4, 1917, in Marshfield and departed this life on Oct. 11, 2000 in Cox Walnut Lawn Hospital, Springfield. He was 83 years, 10 months, and seven days of age.
Brady retired from the U.S. Navy after serving for many years. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor and participated in World War II and the Korean conflict.
On Jan. 30, 1973, Brady was united in marriage to Eva Wilson.
Preceding him in death were his parents; five brothers; and three sisters.
Brady is survived by his wife, Eva, of the home; two stepsons, Ronald and Steve Robertson, both of Marshfield; two brothers, Homer Dial, Forsyth, and Joe Dial, Springfield; three grandchildren, Leonard Robertson, Littlerock, Ark., Stephanie Grevillius, Springfield, Mo., April Upham, Marshfield; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, in Marshfield Cemetery with Walter Myers officiating under direction of Day Funeral Home, Marshfield.
There will be no formal visitation, but friends may call at their convenience in the funeral home.
