Walter J. Boyce, formerly of South Bend, died Thursday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, Ind. Born March 8, 1902, in Cessini, Ill., he was married Nov. 19, 1925, to Gladys Spitznagle. While in South Bend he was employed by the Studebaker Corp. Surviving are the widow; one daughter, Mrs. Edwin Uerkwitz, Rt.5, Lafayette; two sons, Leo, of Rt.4, Lafayette, and Ronald, at home; one brother, Cecil, of Lafayette, and two sisters, Mrs. Effie Widener, of Delphi, Ind., and Mrs. Edith Gregory, of San Leandro, Calif. Friends may call in the Baker Funeral Home, Dayton, Ind., after 6 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary’s Cathedral, Lafayette, with burial in St. Boniface Cemetery, Lafayette.
