- Mrs. Dolores Goggin, Sister Of Local Man, Dies At Lafayette Sun.
Mrs. Dolores Goggin, 51, sister of a Monticello man, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette of an extended illness, Sunday, August 26 at 11:25 p.m.
She was born in Warren co. Indiana on April 30, 1911, the daughter of Mrs. Carrie Flynn of Oxford and the Late Roscoe Flynn. She spent her early life around Boswell and later years at Terre Haute. Her husband, Thomas F. Goggin and a son, Thomas F. Goggin Jr., preceded her in death.
Survivors are two sons: Charles of Lafayette and Jerry of Monticello, her mother, Mrs. Carrie Flynn, Oxford, two brothers, Neal Flynn of Boswell, Lowell (Barney) Flynn, Monticello, two sisters, Mrs. Harold Davis, Ambia and Mrs. Harold Elliott of Lafayette. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Maplewood Christian Church at Terre Haute with Rev. Neil Kuns, at 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. Interment in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens at Terre Haute. Thomas Funeral Home is in charge.
