      Robert J. Hedges, 82 of Chester passed away on Sunday April 13, 2104 at the Stone Pear Pavilion at Fox Crest where had been living for the past five years.

      Born in Indianapolis, IN., on July 29, 1931, he was a son of the late Ernest and Lucille Lawrence Hedges.

      A 30 year Navy Veteran, he was the head signalman for the 7th Fleet. Later he worked as a manager for the Motel 6 franchise in places such as Jacksonville, FL., and Murphysboro, TN.
      He attended the Chester First Church of the Nazarene.

      His wife, Linda Hedges preceded him in death.
      Survivors include his sisters, Pearley Flowers of Cameron, OH., and Elizabeth Joan Crousore of Ft. Wayne, IN., and many nieces and nephews.

      Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery in Chester.
