    • Warren Riley Bishop, 59, of Rock Island, Illinois, died April 9, 1980, after an extended illness. Mr. Bishop was born in Nicholasville, Kentucky.

      He was graduated from the University of Kentucky with degrees in journalism and scientific farming. He had lived in Buffalo, NY, and moved to Rock Island 15 years ago. He married Virginia Royse on October 21, 1967, in Nicholasville.

      Mr. Bishop was manager of the Wareco Station at 24th St. and 5th Ave., Rock Island, for nine years. Prior to that he had been with the Rock Island Arsenal and had been a salesman with Link Belt Co. He served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.

      Survivors include: his widow, Virginia; a brother, James, Chula Vista, CA; and two sisters, Mrs. Robert Yates, Indianapolis, IN, and Mrs. Jacob Schroeder, Silver Springs, MD. [1, 3]
