- VERSAILLES - Dorothy Million Haynes, 91, of Elkchester Pike died Sun., June 12, 2005, on her 91st birthday. "Granny" is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, William Eugene Haynes. She was the daughter of the late Earnest and Ethel Million and a member of South Elkhorn Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Ethel Maude (Clair) Bearer of Versailles, Linda (Lones) Taulbee of Lexington, and Dorothy (Bryan) McIntyre of Versailles, two sons, Harvey Haynes of Lexington and Stanley (Eve) Haynes of Fort Myers, Florida, three sisters, Blanch Merriman, Helen Brooks, and Beulah Kelly, three brothers, Bill Million, Harold Million, and Douglas Million, sixteen grandchildren, Tony, Tammy, Stan, Melinda, Ricky, Clint, Renee, Shawn, Yvette, Missy, Erika, Jason, Shane, Brittany, Brittany, and Hannah, nineteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, William Eugene Haynes, Jr., a daughter in law, Charolyn Haynes, three grandchildren, William Eugene Haynes III, Len Haynes, and Robbie Haynes, and three sisters, Elizabeth Gilkison, Naomi Haynes, and Nannie Wise.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Thurs., June 16, 2005 at the Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Wesley Noss and Rev. Jessie Baldridge officiating.
Casket bearers will be Lones Taulbee, Clair Bearer, Bryan McIntyre, Tony Haynes, Ricky Vaught, Shane Rousey, Jason Haynes, and Jimmie Haynes. Honorary casket bearers will be Harvey Haynes, Stanley Haynes, Clint Vaught, Christopher Vaught, Brandon True, Bradley True, Ronnie Rue, Will Harper, Don Clark, Kenny Hacker, and Jason Smithers.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund.
