- Mr. Sparks.
Flemingsburg - Elwood Sparks, 71, 1131 US 68 in Maysville, died unexpectedly at 7 a.m. Tuesday at his home as the result of an apparent heart attack. He formerly owned and operated an automobile business in Flemingsburg.
Born in Fleming County on Oct. 11, 1916, he was the son of rev. W.T.S parks, of Flemingsburg, and the late Mrs. Clarice Million Sparks.
Surviving besides his father are his wife, Mrs. Mitchell Seithers Sparks; one daughter, Mrs. Carol Spencer of Flemingsburg; a son, Morris Sparks, of Atlanta, Ga.; one step son, Darrell Seithers, of Carlisle; one brothers, Clyde Sparks, of Lexington, and four sisters, Mrs. Edith Mineer and Mrs. Bernice Porter, of Flemingsburg; Mrs. Virginia Schwartz, of Maysville, and Mrs. Christine Harmon, of Tilton; four grandchildren, two step grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Boone-Nickell Funeral Home in Flemingsburg. Rev. Sanford Doyle will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Visitation at the funeral home will be held after 5 p.m. today.
