- CHRIS WAYNE MILLER, of Church Hill, TN, formerly of Seiling, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the age of 39 years, 7 months, and 17 days. Chris was the son of Mack and Connie (Clayton) Miller and grew up in the Seiling area where he attended school, before graduating from Emmerson High School in Oklahoma City. He then spent many years in Woodward as a concrete finisher, and had more recently returned to college, carrying a 4.0 GPA as a double major in business and technology at Northeast State College in Kingsport, TN. He was raised a member of the Church of Christ, being baptized by Kevin Ballard at the Quartz Mountain Christian Camp at a young age.
Chris had an amazing spiritual personality and he touched a lot of people with his faith in God. Anyone who knew Chris thought of him as a "big kid". He had a fun, child-like way about him and was always joking around making people laugh. But most importantly Chris was an amazing father to his children. He taught them that what mattered most in life was a strong, faithful relationship with God. He made sure his children knew how smart, good looking, and important each one of them were. He was so proud of every one of them and they were so proud of him because their dad never gave up on anything he dreamed about doing in his life. Chris loved God and his children deeply and always expressed that love to them.
Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Raymond and Ludie Miller, maternal grandparents Lyle and Betty Clayton, and his sister Shelley Miller.
Left to carry his legacy are his four children, Christen “Sierra” Miller of Sharon, Ethan Mack Miller, Cade Alexander Miller, both of Woodward and Tristan Miller of Montana, his parents Mack and Connie Miller of Seiling, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a lifetime of friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the Elm Grove Community Church in Chester with Pastor Orville White officiating. Burial will follow at Cedardale Cemetery. Chris’ family have entrusted his care services and burial to director Luke Faires, and the staff of Redinger Funeral Home.
