- John S. Howard
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Robert . Stetler Funeral Homer, Santa Paula, for John S. Howard, 48, Santa Paula, who died Saturday in a local hospital after a long illness. Officiating will be the Rev. Kenneth Lyon. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Pryor, Okla.
Mr. Howard was born Jan. 17, 1922, in McComb, Okla. A veteran of World War II service with the Navy, Mr. Howard was employed as a truck driver for West States Co. before his illness. He came to Ventura County eight years ago. He was a member of the American legion, Post Wilbur Bartlett, Brooklyn, Mich.
His wife, Margaret, Died Nov. 15.
He is survived by a son, James Burley, Idaho; stepson John Harvey, Santa Paula; daughters, Mrs. Judy Howard, Fullerton, Mrs. Vickie Decker, Burley, Idaho; stepdaughter, Mrs. Markeita Satherthwaite, in Michigan; brothers, Raymond, Santa Paula, Glen, Pryor, Okla., Wilburn, Oxnard; his mother, Mrs. Lottie Sears, Pryor, Okla.
The family asks that donations in his name be made to the Ventura County Cancer Society.
