Carry H. Funk
Carry H. FUNK, 72, R.R. 6, Rochester, died at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday at his home. His death was attributed to a sunstroke which he suffered five days ago during the heat wave. Mr. Funk had been engaged in farming throughout his entire life.
He was born July 2, 1880 in Chillicothe, Ohio, to William and Matilda WARD FUNK and came to Fulton county when still quite young. He was married to Lucille C. KING on Sept. 1,
1926.
Survivors are his widow and the following children: Elma [FUNK], Rochester, James [FUNK] with the U.S. Air Force in Texas; Mrs. Isabelle KAMP, Rochester; Arthur, Martha,
Robert, Matilda, Helen, Hugh, Judith [FUNK] all at home. Two daughters and a son by a previous marriage also survive: Mrs. Betty WHITESELL, Hobart; Mrs. Harold SMITH,
Mishawaka; William [FUNK], Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Rose CAROTHERS, Akron and Mrs. Martha NORRIS, R.R. 6, Rochester. Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Foster funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery, Akron. Friends may call at the funeral home.
