- Michigan City Woman Killed.
Suffers Skull Fracture in Auto Crash; Husband Hurt.

Michigan City, Ind., July 25. - Mrs. Margaret Clester, age 24, of 603 Harris street, who suffered a skull fracture in an automobile accident Sunday morning at 2 o'clock, died nine hours later in a local hospital.
Her husband Verne Clester, who was driving the car, suffered a broken leg. Mrs. Kenneth Kochenderfer, 102 1/2 Manhattan street, received a fracture pelvis and her husband sustained bruises and cuts.
The accident occurred when Mr. Clester lost control of his automobile and it crashed into a telephone pole at Greenwood avenue and Franklin streets. The two couples were returning home from a dance.
A damage suit for $5,000 against Garrit Hutchinson, well known Michigan City man, filed by Mr. Clester, is pending in court. Hutchinson recently was found not guilty of stealing an airplane owned by Clester. The plane was wrecked when Hutchinson took it out. He claimed he had Clester's permission, but the latter denied this.
