- Lillian Davenport and John Muller Wed
Porterville (Tulare, Ca.), Oct. 10. - Miss Lillian Davenport, daughter of Mrs. Florence Davenport of Berkeley, formerly of Porterville, was married to John Muller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Muller of Ducor, recently.
The ceremony was performed in Long Beach.
The couple left by boat for San Francisco, where they will spend their honeymoon. They will return to Terra Bella to reside.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Muller are graduates of the Porterville Union High School.

- Rites Today for First City Clerk of Westminster
Westminster - Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. today at Peek's Family Chapel here for Mrs. Lillian Bersuch, Westminster's first city clerk and a key organizer in the incorporation of the city in 1957. Mrs. Bersuch, 61, died Tuesday.
When the city incorporated as Tri City, many of the meetings of persons working on the incorporation were held in Mrs. Bersuch's kitchen and during the first three months of cityhood she served as city clerk until James E. Black was hired as permanent clerk.
The city was made up of portions of Westminster, Midway City and Barber City. Voters balloted in late 1957 to change the name to Westminster.
Mrs. Bersuch's late husband, Carl, served as planning commissioner and Bersuch St. in the city was named for him.
Surviving are her son, J. Roger Muller of Santa Ana; her mother, Florence Duffus of Villa Park, a brother, Wilbur Davenport of Downey, and sisters, Virginia Nankivell of Concord and Frances Hamilton of Pismo Beach.
