      He was probably a son of Jan Dyckman, Commies of Fort Orange and Beverwyck and was born in 1662.* Marrying Jannetie, daughter of Cornells Viele, his father-in-law conveyed to him a farm below the Aal JPlaats, which he abandoned by reason of the Indian alarms after the year 1690.
