[1] - Jacob Truax, bapt. 1683. The manuscript identified this Jacob Truax with the Truax who was the first man murdered in Schoharie County. Simma gives a full account of this murder in his History of Schoharie County (pp.56-60), but does not mention his first name; so that there seems to be no positive evidence that it was this Jacob Truax.
