      October 25, 1958 - January 27, 2024

Daniel Vance Fieseler (65), Son of Donald Vance Fieseler and Barbara Mae Maudsley, was suddenly and unexpectedly taken from this world January 27, 2024, while in his home in Alexander, North Dakota. Daniel, fondly referred to as Danny or Shakey Dan, was born October 25, 1958, in Belflower, California.

The fourth of five children and always known for being in some kind of mischief with (or without) his two brothers. Danny was often described by those who love him most as being a tease, a flirt and full of mischief. They also describe him as having an unmistakable laugh, a readiness for fun and joy, and a full and complete love of family, with a heart of gold. However, he was happiest when anyone with long nails would scratch and tickle his back. He enjoyed playing in the Little League when he was young and later, tennis, volleyball and skating. When he was 11 his family relocated from California to La Verkin, Utah where he helped build their forever home from the ground up. Danny graduated from Hurricane High School and shortly after moved up to Northern Utah to start adulthood. In early 1980 he met the mother of his children while out skating. Daniel married Rose Mary Hayford on May 3, 1980. (He lovingly fathered six healthy beautiful children starting with a daughter born on his 22nd birthday.) Dan worked hard all his life to provide for his family and be able to indulge in his passion for vehicles. He spent the majority of his life as a Floor Coverings Specialist. Even though it was hard on his body, his career was (more than carpet tile and hardwood to him. It was) an art (form, that he put his whole heart into. Oftentimes, his source of pride resulted in beautiful Parade of Homes jobs in Park City and around Utah.) After many years of working so hard in his career, his knees were too worn out to do flooring any longer, so Daniel changed to Truck driving. Despite a divorce, he embraced his new freedom in his big rig. He enjoyed the scenery on the road and the joy of being behind the wheel. He also used the opportunity of his travels to visit family anytime he could. After several years of driving and pushing his body, he retired early to his home in Alexander, ND where his middle son helped care for him while on mild disability from his years of hard work. Friendships and relationships with loved ones were everything to Dan. He enjoyed spending time with friends and working on projects in these last few years. He also treasured time with his sweet grand babies. He was so happy they all lived close and was such a proud "Popi". He loved seeing them grow and learn, and the way they reminded him of his own children at that age. Daniel is survived by his six children, Anndrea (Gregory) Diemart, Benjamin (Jessica) Fieseler, Christina Fieseler, Donald Fieseler, Elliott Fieseler, Gyneine Fieseler. Three grandchildren, Alivia Fieseler, Damian Fieseler and Rigel Fieseler. He is also survived by his sisters, Deborah (Charles) Layton, and Teresa (Stuart) Spendlove, and brothers Michael (Debi) Fieseler and Timothy Fieseler. Daniel was predeceased in death by his parents, grandparents and nephew Christopher Fieseler. Dan was well known and loved by the local communities. He loved making friends at the drive-up windows and watching local life from his porch. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. While Dan left us far too soon, the impact he had on our lives and community will be felt for years to come. Funeral services will be held Friday February 9, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Leeds LDS Church in Leeds Utah. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the same location. The interment will follow in the La Verkin City Cemetery, La Verkin, Utah where he will be laid to rest next to his precious mother.
