Notes - Denton, John H. an old citizen of Stoney Creek Township died December 11, 1882 at his home one mile south of Farmland age 79 years, 4 months. He came to Randolph County about 1825. Married Julia A. Friar (Freer) January 20, 1828. Survivors are the widow, one sister and two brothers, seven children. Service by Rev. Jn Moorman with burial in Maxville Cemetery.
