Notes - Mrs. Luther Hedges
Mrs. Bessie L. Hedges, 68, widow of Luther Hedges, DeLong road, died at 6 p.m. yesterday at the residence of her daughter Mrs. J.F. Thompson, 355 Woodland avenue, after an illness of one year.
A native of Mason county, she was a daughter of the late J.F. and Laura McDonald Cook. She received her education in the schools of her native county. She had been a resident of Fayette county since 1921 and was a member of the Christian church in Maxon county.
Besides Mrs. Thompson, Mrs. Hedges is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Perry Minor, Nicholasville; a son, Stanley Hedges, Springfield, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Doyle, Pontiac, Mich., and Mrs. J.D. Brumagen, Lexington; a brother, O.C. Cook. Fayette county; five grandchildren, David Hedges and Stanley Hedges Jr., J.F. Thompson Jr., Mrs. W.C. Lamb and Mrs. Frank Stelle, all of Lexington; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The body was taken to the W.R. Milward mortuary where services will be held.
