Notes - French Hedges, 90, of 4408 Bosart Road, died unexpectedly at 2:55 PM Friday in Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Rupert, West Virginia on May 9, 1897 the son of James T. and Melissa (Hoff) Hedges and had resided here for the last four years. He had been a former banker and teacher in West Virginia, had attended the Third Church of God and the United Pentecostal Church, and was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He is survived by one brother, Lacy of West Virginia; a number of nieces and nephews; and beloved friends, including Nellie Deitz of West Virginia and Margo and Al Fulk, with who he resided. Friends may call at the Conroy Funeral Home from 2-4 PM on Sunday. His body will then be taken to Rainelle, West Virginia for services and burial.
