- Everett Martin Dies At Age 82; Rites At Dixon
Everett Martin, 82, of Dixon, Ill., died Thursday morning in a hospital in that city. He was a former Mt. Vernon resident.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon. Burial will be in Chapel Hill cemetery.
Mr. Martin was born Nov. 9, 1884, near Danville, Ill., the son of Charles and Sarah Martin.
He was married to Mollie Munsell, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by a son Ebbie Martin of Dixon; two half-brothers, John Crouch and Glenn Crouch, both of Bluford; three half sisters, Mrs. Wintress Shields of Bluford, Mrs. Evelyn Wiggins and Mrs. Etha Tate, both of Detroit, Mich.; and one grandchild.

Evertt Martin
Everett Martin, 81, 918 Sheridan Ave., died Tuesday evening in Amboy Public Hospital.
He was born no Nov. 9, 1885, in Indiana, the son of Charles and Sarah Martin.
Survivors include a son, Ebbie, Dixon; a sister, Mrs. Winteress Shields, Bluford; three grandchildren adn four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with Dr. Robert W. Schumm, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call in the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday.
