Notes - Mrs. J.C. Evans
Frankfort – Mrs. Bessie Goin Evans, 53, of 10 Fannin Court, wife of J.C. Evans, died at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday at King’s Daughters Hospital after a two year illness. A native of Frankfort, she was a member of the First Christian Church and the Frankfort Woman’s Club and was a past president of the Christian Women’s Fellowship and the Second Street and Murray Street Schools Parent-Teacher Association.
She also is survived by a daughter, Miss Louis Evans, Frankfort; her mother, Mrs. David Goin, widow of a former postmaster here; four brothers, Henry, Phillip, David and Kenneth Goin, all of Frankfort; three sisters, Mrs. J.W. Sullivan, Mrs. Louis Stivers and Mrs. Carl Gordon, all of Frankfort.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Rogers Chapel by the Rev. John C. Chenault. Burial will be in Frankfort Cemetery. The body is at the Rogers Funeral Home.
