Notes - Rite Wednesday For Ralph Gillam
Services for Ralph Gillam, 60, of 1325 Emma ave., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Evan Lilly’s funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale cemetery.
Mr. Gillam, who died at Veterans hospital Sunday of a kidney ailment, was an army lieutenant in both world wars. A Des Moines resident for 14 years, he previously lived in Tipton, where he was born.
He was a member of the Methodist church, American Legion and the Knights of Pythias at Tipton, and the Reserve Officers corps.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nell Gillam; a daughter, Mrs. Eloise Griffin, and two sons, Robert E. and Lynn, all of Des Moines; a brother, Millard, of Tipton; three sisters, Mrs. Rena Trede, Gladys and Harriett Gillam, all of Glendale, Cal., and two grandchildren.
