    • Charles P. Denger, 92, of Illahee Hills Retirement Center in Urbandale died of Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma Saturday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton’s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
      Mr. Denger was born in Missouri and had lived near Dows before moving to the Des Moines area 70 years ago. He was a retired independent oil jobber and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Auburn Union Park Masonic Lodge and enjoyed golfing and fishing.
      He is survived by a son, Dennis of Urbandale; and a grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine.
      Friends may call an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the America Cancer Society.
