    Charles Robert Hamner
    Charles Robert Hamner, 81, Overbrook, died March 4, 1992, at a Topeka hospital.
    Mr. Hamner was a minister in the Topeka, Pomona, and Overbrook areas. He moved from Pomona to Overbrook in 1966. He also farmed for a few years and had worked for the Overbrook Co-op until he retired in 1975.
    He was born July 26, 1910, at Atchison, the son of John Wallace and Emma Clyde Estes Hamner.
    Mr. Hamner attended Larkinburg and Bittersweet grad schools near Valley Falls, was graduated from Valley Halls High School in 1930 and from Manhattan Bible College in 1936.
    Mr. Hamner was a member of the Church of Christ in Overbrook and a life member of the American Polled Hereford Association.
    He was married to Mary Alice Hedges on June 24, 1934, in Nortonville. She survives.
    Other survivors include two daughters, Patricia A. Waller, Overbrook, and Margaret S. Miller, Osage City; a son, Charles E. Hamner, Overbrook; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
    Services were March 7 in the Church of Christ, Overbrook. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka. Greenwood-Roberts Funeral Home, Overbrook, was in charge of arrangements.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christ, Overbrook, and left at the funeral home.
