    Notes:

    Fern Hedges
The death of Fern Hedges occurred Saturday afternoon after a short illness, pneumonia developing very suddenly from a cold that was not thought serious, though all that science, careful nursing and loving attention could do was done, naught availed.
The funeral took place from the Methodist Church Sunday afternoon, a very touching feature of the services being the singing of the little girl’s favorite song by fifteen members of her Sunday School class. Interment was in the new cemetery, the large funeral cortege and beautiful flowers showing the respect in which the parents are held.
The little girl, who was twelve years old, was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P.T. Hedges and besides her parents leaves one brother, to whom The Enterprise extends sympathy.

LKH note: Both her parents and her brother are buried at Fern Park Cemetery. There is an entry and a photograph of the headstone for her mother, Ina Hedges, that shows that headstone has several cracks. It is possible that Kathryn's stone is no longer standing.
