    Richard Alkire, 86, passed away peacefully December 23, 2012 with his family by his side.
    He was born October 15, 1926 in Everett where he was a lifelong resident and business owner. Richard married Norma Hendrickson in 1949 and she was the love of his life.
    He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Norma; son, Jim (Shannon) Alkire of Stanwood; daughter, Karen (Ritch) Triplett of Snohomish; his grandchildren, Stephanie Alkire, Michael Gumke, Greg Triplett and Chad Triplett, great-grand-children, Chandler, Colby, Gabriel and Elijah; brother-in-law, Ray (Lorraine) Hendrickson; and family of Omak; and nephew, Richard (Judy) Graves of Seattle.
    Richard will always be remembered for his great love of music, appreciation of the arts and ability to see beauty in all things. He will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Everett.
    No services will be held per his request.
