    Fred "Ken" Dalpiaz, 73, of Ridgecrest, CA passed away on 10 Nov 2016 in Ridgecrest and is survived by his wife Juanita Dalpiaz, son Shane Dalpiaz, sisters Sheron Anderson and Patty Brown, stepsons Gregory Rickets and Chris Rickets, stepdaughter Denice Hunter and many nephews and nieces.
    Ken was preceded in death by his father, Fred, mother Vivian and brother Michael Dalpiaz.
    Ken was born on 29 Jun 1943 in Los Angeles, CA to Fred and Vivian Dalpiaz. Ken first met his father, Fred Dalpiaz, Jr. when he was 2 years of age because of World War II.
    In February 1963 Ken and his family came to China Lake, CA, where his father was a Navy chief petty officer who retired here in 1965. Ken worked as a civil servant in the China Lake Security Department from 1969 to 1974, then took a position within the Electronic warfare Department. Later he worked on the Sidewinder missile program. He finished his career as a logistic manager before retiring in 1998.
    Ken supported both community and charity events. Ken and Juanita were involved with the Ridgecrest Elks Lodge No. 1913 where Ken was the Exalted Ruler in 2012. Ken and Juanita enjoyed the Elks family and the many Elks who traveled with them in their ventures.
