    Mrs. Vesta Ann Cavanee
    Vesta Ann Cavanee, daughter of Peter and Almeda Cassity, was born in Sullivan County, Missouri, near Milan, July 27, 1864, and passed away at her home in Milan, January 12, 1950, at the age of 75 years, 5 months and 15 days.
    In 1880 she was married to William Cavanee. They were the parents of seven children, one dying in infancy; Peter W. died in1934, and Dennis H. and Cecil were deceased at the age of 19 years.
    Surviving are John E. Cavanee of Magna, Utah; Mrs. Ella Quinland of Lyons, Kansas and Mike Cavanee, now at sea in the merchant marines out of San Pedro, Calif.
    She is also survived by two brothers, P.T. Cassity of Beaver, Okla., and W.L. Cassity of Balko, Okla.; her brother-in-law, John Boner and her niece, Mrs. Mary Bird of Milan; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    Mrs. Cavanee lived in Milan for many years and about 35 years ago the family moved to and located in several places in the Western States and soon after the death of her husband in 1933 at Magna, Utah, she came back to her old home in Milan.
    For many years she has been a member of the Methodist church, a member of the Milan Rebecca Lodge and was a Past Chief of the Order of Pythian Sisters of Magna Temple, Magna, Utah.
    Services were held at the Methodist church in Milan, Sunday, Jan. 14, 1940 at 2:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. John P. Ingerslew, pastor of the church.
    Burial was in Shatto cemetery.

    Nampa – Peter W. Cavanee, 51 of 212 Fifteenth avenue south, died Tuesday afternoon at a local hospital, following a short illness.
    He had been a resident of Nampa 15 years, coming here from Salt Lake. He was a member of Ashland lodge No.90, A.F.&A.M., Nampa. He operated a service station at Sixteenth avenue and First street south for several years.
    Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Lorrain and Marjory Cavanee, and one son, John Cavanee, all of Nampa; his mother, Mrs. William Cavanee, of Lyons, Kan.; two brothers, jack Cavanee of Magna, Utah, and Wayne Wavanee of San Diego, Calif., and one sister, Mrs. Ella Quinlan, of Lyons, Kan.
    The body is at Robinson’s. Funeral arrangements had not been completed Tuesday night.

    Born Jan. 11, 1884, in Milan, Mo., son of William E. and Vesta Cassity Cavanee; married Bridgie O’Connor on Feb. 24, 1914, in Salt Lake City.
    Member Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers, road foreman of engines for Kennecott Copper Corp, before his retirement in 1949.
    Survivors, Widow; three sons, Dennis, Hunter, and W.M. (Bill), Magna; one sister, Mrs. Ella Quinlan, Lyons, Kan.; one brother, Wayne Q. Cavanee, San Pedro, Calif., and five grandchildren.

    LYONS - Mrs. Ella J Quinlan, 79, died Wednesday morning at Rice County District Hospital here, after several weeks' illness. Born May 24, 1889, in Missouri, she was married to Seth Wiggins, Dec. 31, 1907. He died Dec/ 27, 1930. She was later married to William Quinlan. He died Oct. 1, 1947. She had lived here since 1904.
    She was a member of the Christian Church, Rebekah Lodge, and the Pythian Sisters.
    Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Ray Quinlan, Lyons; Mrs. Geneva Coolidge, Manhattan; brother Mike Cavanee, Lyons; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
    Funeral will be 2 pm Friday at Crawford and Miller Mortuary, Lyons: Rev. Orvan Gilstrap. Burial will be in the Lyons Cemetery. Friends may call 7 pm to 9 pm Thursday at the mortuary.
