    Cassity
    Sarah Anne Swiggart was born March 8, 1849, and departed this life May 7, 1922, being 72 years, one month and 29 days old.
    The deceased was married to Alonzo M. Cassity June 29, 1871, and to this union was born two children, Alfred T. of Milan, Mo., and R.D. of Purdin, Mo. She united with the Church of Christ about 31 years ago and remained a faithful Christian until death called her home.
    The subject of this sketch was born on a farm near Scottsville, Mo., where she resided until the death of her mother broke up the home. She then lived with relatives until her marriage, after which she lived on a farm four miles west of Milan, Mo., where she reared her family. Later in life, about the year 1911, she and her husband moved to Purdin, Mo., where they reside until death called the father home, after which she made her home with her two sons.
    Aunt Sarah Anne, as she was generally known, was loved by the little friends as well as the older ones, and many are the loving deeds of kindnesses which they will remember her by.
    Beside the two sons she leaves two granddaughters and one grand son and a host of friends in Sullivan and Linn counties to mourn her departure.
    Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ at Purdin, Mo, after which the remains were laid to rest beside her husband in the Purdin cemetery to await the Judgement call.
    A precious one from us has gone,
    A voice we loved is stilled;
    A place is vacant in our home
    Which never can be filled.
    The Milan Republican, Milan, Missouri. Thursday, 18 May 1922.
