    Charles B. Daulton
    Charles B. DAULTON, 74, Lake Wawasee, Syracuse, formerly of Rochester, suffered a fatal heart attack at 3 p.m. Wednesday while driving on U.S. 6 about two miles north of Syracuse.
    His auto left the road, ran up an embankment and turned on its top.
    Mr. Daulton, who lived in Rochester and this vicinity from 1909 to 1931, had been in failing health for several years.
    He was born in Danville, Ill., on May 21, 1882, to Joe and Ada (HITCHCOCK) DAULTON. He was first married in 1902 in Rochester to Lucy SHAFFER, who preceded him in death. In 1944, he was married in Fort Wayne to Dora HELM, who also preceded him in death.
    Mr. Daulton was a retired farmer and car salesman and was a member of the Roman Catholic church in Fort Wayne.
    Surviving are five sons: Ben, Dale, Wayne and Glen [DAULTON], all of Rochester, and Joe [DAULTON], South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Goldie SWAIN, South Bend and Mrs. Velma VIGUS, Gardena, Cal., three stepchildren; two sisters; Mrs. William FENSTERMAKER, Anderson, and Mrs. Bessie BROWN, Plymouth; a brother, William [DAULTON], Lancaster, Pa.; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph Catholic church in Rochester with Father Claude W. REMAKALUS of St. Ann's church, Monterey, officiating. Burial will be in the Bruce Lake cemetery.
    Friends may call at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home after noon Friday. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

    Nannie B. Fenstermaker
    Mrs. Nannie B. FENSTERMAKER, 78, Anderson, former Rochester resident, died at 2 a.m. today in the Sanders nursing home in Anderson. Mrs. Fenstermaker had been ill for the past 12 years.
    She was born March 13, 1884. Her husband was William L. FENSTERMAKER. He died in 1950. She was a member of the South Side Christian church at Kokomo.
    Surviving are one son, Cleo L., Anderson; two brothers, William DALTON, Lancaster, Pa., and James DALTON, Dallas, Texas.
    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Baker funeral home in Anderson with the Rev. Monroe G. SCHUSTER of the Anderson Central Christian church offficiating. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
    Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Rochester where graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m.

    Myrtle M. Mays Dies Sunday At Home in Kokomo
    Mrs. Myrtle M. Mays, wife of City Councilman Clyde E. Mays, died Sunday at her home, 915 E. Taylor St., following an illness of about seven months. She underwent surgery at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis, in February.
    She was born in Fairmount, Ill., and moved to Kokomo about 50 years ago. She and Mr. Mays were married in 1910.
    Mrs. Mays was a member of the Main Street Christian Church and of the Whatsoever Club of that church.
    Surviving with the husband are a son, Clyde Jr.; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nannie B. Fenstermaker of Marion and Mrs. Bessie Brown of Hobart; and three brothers, Charles A. Daulton of Fort Wayne, William Daulton of Lancaster, Pa., and James Daulton of Dallas, Tex.
    The body was removed to the Rich Funeral Home, where friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday. Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Main Street Christian church with the pastor, the Rev. Jo M. Riley, officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery.

    Benjamin Daulton, 63, of Willington, O., father of R.F. Daulton, who resides at 113 E. Fifth st. in Springfield, died at 12L45 p.m. Tuesday in Mercy Hospital where he was a patient since Jan. 21.
    Mr. Daulton, a resident of Wilmington for the last 40 years, was general foreman of the Irwin Auger Bit Co. He was a native of Danville, Ill., where he was born on Jane 28, 1889.
    Survivors, besides the son who lives in Springfield, are his widow, Anna; three brothers, Charles of Fort Wayne, Ind., Claude of Dallas, Tex., and William of Lancaster, Pa.; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Mays of Kokomo, Ind., Mrs. Bess Brown of Gary, Ind., and Mrs. Nan Fenstermaker of Dallas, Tex., and two grandchildren.
    The body was taken to the Reynolds funeral home in Wilmington where services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington.

    On July 3, 1940, in South Bend, as Barbara Daulton, she married Charles Swain. He died in 1968. Surviving are a sister, Thelma Vigus of Gardena, Calif.; and a brother Wayne Daulton of Rochester. She was a member of St. Bavo's Catholic Church.

    Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the church. Cremation will take place. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where a wake will be at 5:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or to a charity of the donor's choice.

    Joseph S. DAULTON, 72, Mishawaka, died at 6:40 a.m. Wednesday in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Indianapolis after an extended illness.

    Mr. Daulton was born April 27, 1908 in Rochester. He was retired from the Courier-Newsom Trucking Co. He was married May 11, 1948 in Rochester to Thelma DAVIS, who died in 1970. He was a member of the American Legion and a veteran of World War II.

    Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Danny (Dianna) VICENT, Mishawaka, and Mrs. Michael (Barbara) McLAUGHLIN, South Bend; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Barbara SWAIN, Mishawaka, and Mrs. Velma VIGUS, Gardena, Calif.; three brothers, Ben DAULTON, Wayne DAULTON, Dale “Dirty” DAULTON, all of Rochester.

    Born Feb. 12, 1912, in Rochester, he was the son of Charles and Lucy Shaffer Daulton. On April 30, 1931, he was married to Edna Nichols, who died Dec. 29, 1969. On Sept. 19, 1970, in Rochester, he was married to Nocelle Musselman, who survives.
    He was the retired owner of Ben Daulton Distributing Co., Rochester, and the Rochester City Dray.
    He was a member of St. Joseph’s catholic Church, Rochester.
    He was also a member of the Rochester Chamber of Commerce, Elks, Eagles, and Manitou Moose lodges, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and American Legion, all in Rochester.
    He was a veteran of the military services, having served during World War II.
    Also surviving are two sons, Philip and David, both of Rochester; two sisters, Barbara Swain, Mishawaka, and Velma Vigus, Torrance, Calif.; and one brother, Wayne, Rochester; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
    Three brothers and two great-grandchildren preceded in death.
    Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Zimmerman Brothers Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frank Kikline officiating. Burial, with military rites, will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Athens.
    Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday and after 9 a.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

    Dale "Dirty" DAULTON, 74, of 315 E. Eighth St., died at 2:45 p.m. Thursday at his residence following a two-month illness.
    He was born April 27, 1915 in Rochester to Charles and Lucy SHAFFER DAULTON and had lived all his life in this community. On Oct. 6, 1936 in Valparaiso, he married Mable A. NIXON, who survives. In 1977 he retired from the Rochester Telephone Company. He served with U.S. Navy during World War II in the South Pacific Theater of War, and was a member of the Rochester American Legion, Manitou Moose Lodge and the Rochester Elks Lodge.
    Surviving with the wife are two sisters, Mrs. Barbara SWAIN, South Bend, and Mrs. Velma VIGUS, Torrance, Calif.; two brothers, Ben and Wayne [DAULTON], both of Rochester, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Glen [DAULTON].
    Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Donald BOWMAN officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery, where the American Legion will conduct graveside services. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.

    Wayne Allen DAULTON, 75, of Rochester, died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday at Life Care Center where he had lived for the last two months.
    He was born in Rochester to Charles and Lucy SHAFFER DAULTON. On Feb. 16, 1941 in Valparaiso he married Jean WILSON, who survives. He was lifetime resident of Rochester. He and his late brother Dale "Dirty" DAULTON owned and operted Daulton's Sinclair Service Station at Ninth and Monroe streets for many years. He later worked for the Indiana Highway Department until he retired on June 1, 1985. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of the LeRoy Shelton American Legion Post.
    Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Candace) RAGLAND, Corydon, and Mrs. Mark (Jill) ALBER, Rochester; one son, Jack [DAULTON], Washington, D.C.; five grandsons, Joe FOSTER, Atlanta, Ga.; John FOSTER, Fishers; Dustin OVERMYER, Akron; Eric HAMMEL, Rochester, and Jack G DAULTON, North Carolina; one great-granddaughter, Carmen FOSTER, Fishers, and two great-grandsons, Gregory and Noah DAULTON, North Carolina, [and sister, Velma VIGUS of Los Angeles, Calif.]. Preceding in death were one sister, Barbara SWAIN and four brothers, Ben, Dale, Joseph and his twin brother Glen [DAULTON].
    Private family services will be held and there will be no visitation or public viewing. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Foster & Good Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Fulton County Cancer Fund in care of Mrs. Eileen Halterman, 218 West Fourth St.

    Glen "Sheeny" DAULTON, 60, of 617 Madison Street, died at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday in the Veteran's Administration Hospital, Fort Wayne, where he had been a patient approximately two weeks. He had been in failing health for a year.
    Mr. Daulton was born Aug. 13, 1919 in Rochester to Charles and Lucy SHAFER DAULTON. He had lived most of his life in Rochester. He was married Nov. 15, 1947 in South Bend to Betty TULLIS, who survives. He was a painter. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Rochester American Legion.
    Surviving with the wife are a daughter, Mrs. Delos (Christine) MARTIN, South Bend; a son, Steve [DAULTON], Rochester; two granddaughters; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Barbara) SWAIN, South Bend, and Mrs. Stewart (Velma) VIGUS, Los Angeles; four brothers, Joe [DAULTON], Fort Wayne; Ben, Dale and Wayne, all of Rochester.
    Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Foster & Good Funeral Home with the Rev. Teal YOUNCE officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Friday and until the hour of service Saturday. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Rochester American Legion Post.

All together, he worked for the automobile industry for over 50 years. Mr. Daulton was past Exalted Ruler of Elks Lodge BPOE $54 in Lima, OH, a 32nd Degree Mason in Springfield, OH, and a member of the Murat Shrine Temple in Indianapolis, IN. He was also an avid golfer. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, 3:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE, with Mr. Ed Kaufman officiating.     Phillip M. Daulton, April 29, 1939-Feb. 23, 2005, Phillip M. DAULTON, 65, of 1005 Jackson Blvd., Rochester, passed away at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Born on April 29, 1939, in Rochester, he was the son of Ben and Edna Nichols Daulton. He was a 1957 graduate of Rochester High School where he participated on the basketball, football and track teams. Mr. Daulton was the owner/operator of Phil Daulton Liquors since 1993. He was a member of Rochester Elks Lodge, Eagles Lodge, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, and Walnut Church of the Brethren, Argos. He was a former Little League baseball coach, a commentator on the Wednesday Morning Sports Talk show on radio station WROI-Rochester, an avid golfer, an Indiana University fan, and a Notre Dame football fan. He enjoyed hunting, playing cards, and his black labrador Gus. He was also a dedicated supporter of numerous local charities.
    Survivors include his daughters, C'Dale Daulton, Rochester, Amy Daulton, Florida; one son, Benjamin and wife Sarah Daulton, Rochester; seven grandchildren, Ben, Sarah, Zackery, MacKenzie, Griffin, Jessica and Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David O. Daulton; and one grandson.
    His funeral service is 2 p.m. Sunday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Pastor Tony Schneiders and the Rev. Jim Calhoun officiating. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to his service Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite local charity or to Walnut Church of the Brethren.
