    Mrs. Maggie Hyatt, 68, wife of Floyd Thurston Hyatt of New Bloomington, died this morning in Marion General Hospital. She was ill seven months.
    Born Jan. 31, 1890 at Smile, Ky., she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hamm. Her marriage was in 1906 in Kentucky. She was a member of the Church of God.
    Surviving are her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Wilma Cooper and Mrs. Eloise Oliver of New Bloomington, Mrs. Gladis Morehouse of Kentucky, Mrs. Gustava McGlowthin of West Union and Mrs. Mildred Banks of Marion; two sons, Normal Hyatt of Marion and John Hyatt at home; 27 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and four brothers, Robert, Christopher, Benjamin and Basil Hamm, all of Kentucky. Five children and three sisters preceded her in death.
    Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the Church of God on Bellefontaine Ave. The Rev. Clifford Mullins and the Rev. L.T. Hayes will officiate. Burial will be in Agosta Cemetery. Friends may call at the Boyd Funeral Home on W. Columbus St. after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

    Henry Raymond Curtis, 65, Durham Manufacturing Corp. employe whose home was as 1803 S. High St., died at Ball Hospital Wednesday after a three-week illness.
    Mr. Curtis, a Morehead, Ky., native, moved here in 1940.
    Surviving are his wife, Minnie; five sons, Ralph H., James T., The Rev. Samuel C. and Dennie Curtis all of Muncie and Floyd J. Curtis of Marion, O.; a daughter, Edna Avery of Charleston, S.C.; three brothers, Claude, Hobert and Zack Curtis, all of Sharkey, Ky.; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Caudill of Louisville, Ky., and 22 grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Parson Mortuary with the Rev. Thomas Hisle and the Rev. Delma Johnson officiating.
    Friends may call at the mortuary after 7 p.m. Thursday.
    The body then will be taken to Stuckey and Cagney Funeral Home in Morehead, Ky. Final services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Pisgh Christian Church with burial in Eldridge Cemetery near Morehead.

    He was born Nov. 26, 1911 in Romans, Ky., a son of Floyd T. and Maggie May Hamm Hyatt.
    Mr. Hyatt retired in 1979 as a welder with Fairfield Engineering Co., and was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Christ, serving as a deacon there for several years.
    His wife, the former Myrtle Marie Caudill, died January 1979 in Marion.
    Surviving are a son, Normal Ray Hyatt, Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Willard (Alice0 Clemmons, Atlanta, Ohio; a brother, John Hyatt, Columbus; two sisters, Elsie G. Oliver, New Bloomington, and Mildred E. Banks, Marion; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A brother, three sisters and a grandson are deceased.
    The service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Boyd Funeral Home with the Rev. James Winders officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Heights Memorial Gardens.
    Friends may call at the funeral home 5-9 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

    Born July 2, 1928, in Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Floyd T. and Maggie Mae (Hann) Hyatt. A homemaker, she was a member of the Women of the Moose #2012 in Mooresville.
    Mrs. Oliver was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Elmer Oliver; three brothers; four sister; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
    She is survived by her children, Edris French, Richard Oliver, Robert Oliver and Deborah Lewis, all of Marion, Eva Skidmore of Mooresville, N.C., Floyd Oliver of Troutman, N.C., Garland Oliver of Olympia, Wash, and James Oliver of Bottom Creek; a sister Mildred O’Neel of Marion; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
    Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001, at Gebhardt St. Enterprise Baptist with the Rev. John Pittman and the Rev. Herb Jordan officiating. Burial will follow at LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call Friday at 3 p.m. until the service Saturday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Boyd Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by a son, three stepsons, two stepdaughters, three brothers and a half-sister.
