Muncie - Services for Wayne Russell Day, 71, will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Parson Mortuary. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory.
Calling will be 5-7 p.m. today and a half hour before services Friday at Parson Mortuary.
Mr. Day was born in Muncie and attended city schools. He was a Navy veteran. He worked at Chevrolet Muncie for 37 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Avondale Sympathy Club and the American Legion in North Webster and a former member of the Muncie Gun Club. He attended Fountain Square United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Ella J. (Peggy) Day; two sons, Stephen W. Day and Robert Beaty (wife: Jenny K.); two sisters, Marjorie Walch and Martha Davis (husband: Neil); a sister-in-law, Leota Basham (husband: Carl), and a brother-in-law, Elwood E. Gilkison.
