    Hazel Maxine Mineer Fields, 82, widow of Artis E. Fields went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday March 24, 2015. Maxine was born August 27, 1932 in Fleming County to the late Marvin and Dora Mineer.

    Maxine was a true farm wife who spent her days working diligently alongside her family raising tobacco, milking cows, and growing a bountiful garden which provided countless meals for workhands and anyone who stopped by. She was a lifetime member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

    She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Artis E. Fields; an infant daughter, Vicky Jo Fields; her parents; sister, Lucille Mineer Hester and an infant sister, Dorothy Mineer. Also preceding her were two infant grandchildren.

    Maxine is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Randy) Stamm; a son, Brent (Cyndi) Fields; and grandchildren, Kelli (David) Rouse, Clay Stamm, Brooklyn, Madison and Justin Fields. Also surviving are two brothers, James (Ruby) Mineer and Johnny (Paula) Mineer; and a brother-in-law, Jess Hester. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and special family friends Ricky and Tammy Riley.

    Funeral services will be at 2PM Sunday March 29, 2015 at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro Arnold Howell and Bro Tom Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday from 6 - 9PM.

    In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Kentucky Organ Donor Association (10160 Linn Station Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40223) or the Cancer Care Club (P O Box 189, Flemingsburg KY 41041).

    James William “Jimmy” Mineer, 82, of Foxport, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 11, 2020, at his residence.

    Born September 19, 1938, in Maysville, KY, Jimmy was the son of the late Marvin and Dora Doyle Mineer.


    Jimmy’s first love was farming; he was a lifelong farmer dedicated to his land, his dairy cattle and his family. He retired after 35 years as a machinist at Randall’s. Jimmy proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves and was a member of Pleasant Valley Christian Church.

    He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ruby Stamm Mineer; his son, Darrell and wife Karen Mineer of Flemingsburg; his grandchildren, Natalie Mineer and Heath (Holly Wells) Mineer; and his brother, Johnny and wife Paula Mineer.

    He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Mineer; his parents Marvin and Dora; and his sisters, Maxine Fields and Lucille Hester.

    Funeral services will be held at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at 11 a.m., with Bro. Layne Wagner and Bro. Kevin Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Heath Mineer, Clay Stamm, Mike Mineer, Brad Mineer, Brent Fields, Mark Mineer, Derrick Doyle, Travis Moreland and Sam Blevins will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Mineer, Chris Williams, Philip Doyle and Frankie King.

    In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

    In compliance with state mandate, masks are required for those in attendance of all services.

    Norman Lee “Mousie” Mineer, 88, of Foxport, beloved husband of 62 years to Joyce Dixon Mineer, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family.

    Born in Lewis County on February 28, 1932, he was the son of the late Archie Lee and Lula Ann Doyle Mineer.

    Norman was a US Navy veteran and retired from Wald Manufacturing in 1993. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ where he had served as a deacon.

    Norman enjoyed restoring Case tractors and participating in tractor shows. He had various interests throughout his life, always staying busy tinkering with projects. The last few years he enjoyed riding around the farm and woods in his Ranger side-by-side.

    In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, Pam (Denny) Lowe, Robin (Johnny) Conn, Jill (Mark) Miller, and Mark (Angie) Mineer; his grandchildren, Jared Miller, Megan Lowe Schumacher, Terri Lowe, Janel Miller, Cody Conn, and Austin Mineer; and great-grandchildren, Blaine Lowe, and Ethan Conn.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his foster brother, Bob Mineer.




    Services will be at 1:00 pm Monday, August 3, 2020, at Carpenter-Fritz and Vice Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Bro. Tom Mitchell and Bro. Layne Wagner officiating.

    Danny William Mineer, 53, of Flemingsburg, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Clark Regional Medical Center.

    Born September 25, 1962, in Maysville, KY, Danny was a son of James “Jim” and Ruby Stamm Mineer.

    Danny retired from the Department of Transportation as the Supervisor of Right of Ways after 30 years of service. For the last year he worked for Palmer Engineering in Winchester, KY. His first love was farming; he was a lifelong farmer dedicated to his land, his dairy cattle and his family. In addition, he had been an auctioneer for Fleming County Auction and Real Estate, and was always willing to help auctioneer for special events in the community. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Christian Church.

    He is survived by his daughter, Natalie Mineer of Morehead; his parents, Jim and Ruby; his brother, Darrell (Karen) Mineer of Flemingsburg; and his nephew, Heath Mineer.

    He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marvin and Dora Mineer and maternal grandparents, Glen and Dorothy Stamm.

    Funeral services will be held at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at 1 p.m., with Bro. Layne Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5 - 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
