    Margaret E. Feiser
    Following a lingering illness, Margaret E. Feiser, seventy-eight year old widow of Peter Feiser, died at the home, 313 West York avenue at 2 o’clock yesterday morning. Death was caused by heart disease. Mrs. Margaret Feiser was a charter member of Grace Reformed church and until late years had been active in church affairs. She came here from Frederick county, Md., more than thirty-five years ago. She leaves two daughters: Mrs. E.E. Johnston, 430 West Philadelphia street, and Miss Henrietta S. Hedges, at home. The funeral will be held from the West York avenue residence at 1 o’clock tomorrow afternoon. Rev. F.A. Rupley, pastor of Grace Reformed church will officiate. Interment will be made in Greenmount cemetery.

    Miss Henrietta Hedges, a seamstress, who resided with her sister, Mrs. E.E. Johnson, 430 West Philadelphia street, died at 12:30 A.M. today in the York hospital from complications which developed following an operation. The operation was performed Sunday. Miss Hedges was 56 years old.

    The funeral of Miss Henrietta Hedges, who died last Tuesday morning at the York Hospital was held this afternoon at 1 o’clock from the home of her sister, Mrs. Edward E. Johnston, 430 West Philadelphia street with services at the house. The Rev. I.A. Raubenhold, pastor of the Grace Reformed church was the officiating clergyman. The pallbearers: Rankin Monroe, Michael Brennan, Calvin Schaeffer and Reginald Fink. Interment was made in Greenmount cemetery.

    Walter Find Dies; Funeral Tomorrow
    Walter H. Find, 61, retired Redding newspaper publisher and civic leader, died this morning at his home after a long illness.
    Funeral services will be conducted at McDonald’s chapel tomorrow at 2 p.m. by R.A. Sunderland. Cremation will follow in Sacramento.
    Services also will be here at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of East Lawn memorial park in Sacramento.
    A native of York, Pa., Fink was the son of Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Fink. He was education in York schools, and later attended Franklin and Marshall college in Lancaster, Pa., where he joined the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity.
    After working on papers in York, Philadelphia, Detroit and Denver, Fink came to Redding in 1915 as editor of the Courier-Free Press, then an afternoon daily. He bought the paper I 1920, and I 1932 also took over his rival, the morning Searchlight.
    He was editor and publisher of the combined papers for nine years. In 1941, he sold them, together with the Shasta Courier, to the Redding Record. However, for the following two years he continued to write his column, “Strolling.” When his contract expired, he became manager of the Redding chamber of commerce May 15, 1943. He held that position more than four years, resigning July 1, 1947.
    Fink was active in civic and fraternal work. He was a member of all the local Masonic bodies, and the Ben Ali temple of the Shrine in Sacramento. He was also toparch of the Sciots when that “playground of the blue Lodge Masors” was active here.
    He had served as exalted ruler of the Redding lodge of Elks, and was a charter member, and second president of the Redding Rotary club. He had a perfect attendance record in the latter organization until he retired from active membership and was made an honorary member after nearly 23 years.
    He also had been chairman of Rotary’s Ladies’ night committee for 15 years. He served as president of the chamber of commerce. He also had been director of the Redding mosquito abatement district for 20 years. For many years he was in charge of arrngements for the community Christmas party for children.
    He leaves his wife, Hattie Jane; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Dell Joseph and four grandchildren, Walter, Betty Ann, Glenn Edward and Ara Dell Joseph, all of Olinda; three sisters, Mrs. Charles F. Brigham, of San Mateo, and Mrs. Helen Schaeffer and Mrs. William T. McClellan, both of York; and a brother, Reginald Fink of York.

    Mrs. McClellan was a bookkeeper for the former Duff’s Automotive Supply Services. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in York.
    Born in York, Mrs. McClellan was the daughter of the late Harry L. and Julia R. Hedges Fink. She was the wife of the late William McClellan.
    She leaves nieces and nephews.
    There will be no viewing. Graveside services are scheduled for 3:15 p.m. Thursday at Greenmount Cemetery.
    Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

    A. Reginald Fink, 83 died Monday at home.
    He was the husband of Hazel Holcombe Fink.
    Longtime educator and musician he taught Spanish at William Penn Senior High School from 1925 until 1960. From 1960 to 1972, he was chairman of the foreign language department at York Suburban High School. He taught courses at Millersville University and at York College of Pennsylvania and from 1972 until his retirement in 1980, he taught at Alverna University of Reading.
    He also taught violin privately and was director of the William Penn Senior High School Orchestra for a number of years. A charter member of York Symphony Orchestra, he was the first violinist for a number of years and served as concertmaster in 1964 and 1965. He also played with the Spring Garden Orchestra.
    He was an originator and the first director of York Youth Symphony and continued as director for 12 years. He was recipient of the York Chorus Arion Award for his work with young people.
    He was a 1922 graduate of William Penn Senior High School and a 1925 graduate of Pennsylvania State University. He did graduate work at John Hopkins University and also had studied at the University of Mexico.
    He was recipient of a Ford Foundation award to study the historic Spanish missions in the West and during that time played for the Santa Barbara Symphony Orchestra.
    He was a life member of the Musicians Union of York and a member of the national and Pennsylvania retired teachers associations. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, was director of the Sunday school orchestra for more than 25 years and also taught in the Sunday School.
    Mr. fink, born in York, was a son of the late harry and Julia Hedges Fink.

    Two sons Reginald H. Fink of Ohio and Philip H. Fink of Florida.

    David Monroe, Lawyer Dies
    Attorney David R. Monroe, 50, husband of Mrs. Mary Kirschner Monroe, 130 Sharon drive, died Thursday at 4:55 a.m. at Lebanon Veterans hospital after a lengthy illness.
    Mr. Monroe was a partner in the law firm of Laucks & Monroe and served as special deputy attorney general of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in York County.
    He held membership in the American, Pennsylvania and York County Bar Associations and served as chairman of the continuing Legal Education Committee of the York County Bar.
    As an active member of the First Presbyterian Church he served as an elder and past president of the Board of Trustees, as well as a teacher of the Henry C. Niles Mens' Bible Class.
    He served in World War II and was discharged as an Army Captain serving overseas in the Pacific Theater in the invasion of the Palau, Okinawa, and in the occupation of Korea.
    As a member of the York Chamber of Commerce, he was serving as chairman of the Committee on Business Ethics. He was also a member of the York Lions' Club and past president of the Grantley Lions' Club. He held membership in York Lodge 266 F&AM; Zembo Temple and York County Shrine Club and Lafayette Club.
    He was graduated from York High School, Oberlin College and Dickinson Law School in 1953.
    He was the son of R. Rankin Monroe, Columbia, and the late Grace Johnston Monroe.
    Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Karen E. Monroe and Suzanne M. Monroe, 130 Sharon Drive.
    Rev. Dr. Richard J. Oman, his pastor, will officiate at funeral services Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Market and Queen Streets. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

    ORK Calvin W. Schaeffer, Jr., 89, died at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at his residence. He was the husband of June R. (Desenberg) Schaeffer, with whom he observed their 65th wedding anniversary on January 19, 2007. Born September 10, 1917, in New London, Conn., he was a son of the late Helen (Fink) Schaeffer and Calvin W. Schaeffer, Sr. Cal retired as a salesman with Monarch Insurance Company. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the York YMCA where he was a former member of the Board of Directors. He started the Master's swimming program at the YMCA and was a member of the York Aquatic Club. Calvin was the first president of the Habitat for Humanity. Mr. Schaeffer was a Captain in the U. S. Army Combat Engineers who received five Battlestars with D-Day Arrowhead. He also received two Purple Hearts, the American Defense Medal, World War II Victory Medal, the Silver Star, and a Bronze Star. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, C.W. Schaeffer, III of York and Gary N. Schaeffer of Boise, Idaho; a daughter, Laurie S. Rush of Ellicott City, Md.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Buchanan of York. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market Street, York. Officiating will be his pastors, the Rev. Dr. S. Phillip Covert and the Rev. Dr. Paul E. Stambach. A visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.     Reginald H. Find of Athens, Ohio, died Nov. 3 at University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He was 65.
    Mr. Fink was principal trombonist of the Oklahoma city Symphony Orchestra; had served on the faculties of Oklahoma City University, West Virginia University, Ithaca College and Ohio University, where he was professor of trombone in the School of Music, and director of the Trombone Choir; and operated Accura Music Inc., a music publishing business, since 1968.
    He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Athens and an associate member of First United Methodist Church.
    He was a member of the Ithaca Brass Quintet, the International trombone Association, the Salvation Army Board of Directors, the Athens Ballroom Dance Club, and Dairy Barn Cultural Arts Center; and a Paul Harris Fellow of Athens Rotary.
    He graduated from the Eastman School of Music, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma.
    Born in York, June 20, 1931, he was the son of the late A. Reginald and Hazel Holcomb Fink.
    He leaves his wife, Sharon L. Bishop, Fink; a son, Carl P. Fink, Rochester, N.Y.; a daughter, Kristine McCreery, Tuscaloosa, Ala.; a stepdaughter, Channing Perry, Athens; and a brother, Philips H. Fink, Miami, Fla.
    Calling hours are 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home, 24 Morris Ave., Athens. The service is at 1 p.m. tomorrow at First United Methodist Church, Athens, with the Revs. Thomas D. Hanover, Joel W. Harbarger and Thomas E. Fisher officiating.
    Burial is in Athens Memory Gardens.
    In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church or First United Methodist Church, both of Athens.

    FINK, Dr. Philip H., 80, of Tampa, went to be with the Lord on August 5, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joyce McGrew Fink; three daughters, Lory Schieler (Stu), Jody Hancock (Jay), and Julie Robbins (Brian); and four grandchildren, Lindsey and Amy Hancock, Jessica and Tel Schieler. Dr. Fink was principal cellist with the Miami Philharmonic (15 years) and the Miami Opera Orchestra (10 years). He served on the faculties of Miami-Dade Community College (1966-72) and Florida International University (1972-94) where he was Chairman of the Music and Fine Arts Departments, respectively, and where he played a major role in the development of the music pro-grams at these institutions. He was past president of the Florida Orchestra Association and Florida String Teachers Association. Dr. Fink was listed as one of five outstanding orchestra arrangers in the country (The Instrumentalist) and many of his arrangements have been published by Columbia Pictures Publications. Dr. Fink also served as the Music Director at Old Cutler Presbyterian Church in Miami for over 25 years.
