    Scott Moody Dead. – After lingering for a long time with a paralytic affliction, Scott Moody, of Hillsboro, died at 6 o’clock a.m. last Thursday. Mr. Moody formerly lived on Three Lick in Rowan county and was Sheriff of Rowan. He had been living at Hillsboro fifteen to twenty years. Mr. Moody was a good, substantial citizen, standing well wherever known. He leaves a number of children, among them Mrs. Foster Freeman and Mrs. Mota Faris, widow of William Faris. He was aged about 65 years.

The bride is a charming young woman, daughter of W. Scott Moody and sister of Mrs. Wm. Faris. Mr. Freeman is a popular gentleman, having hosts of friends in Bath and Fleming counties.

    Flemingsburg, Ky., Jan. 27. – In the Fleming Circuit Curt in the case of James Freeman vs. Cora Freeman and her husband, Foster Freeman, a suit brought for $5,000 for alienation of the wife’s affections, the jury brought in a verdict for the plaintiff in the sum of $450.

    MHR also gives information about cemetery stone stating age 75 years which would agree with age and birth year given on Mota's death certificate.

    Mota's birth year varies between various records.

    Her death certificate gives her birth year as 1861 which would agree with headstone information from MHR as Mota's age being 75 years when she died.

    She is not in the 1870 census. I have not yet found any census records for her family in 1880. She appears in the 1900 census with a 1870 birth year; in the 1910 census with a 1878 birth year; 1920 with a 1871 birth year; and 1930 with a 1891 birth year.

    Charles E. Ingram Sr.
    Maysville, Nov. 11 – Charles E. Ingram sr., 79, landowner and retired farmer of the Wedonia community, died at 12:07 a.m. today at Hayswood Hospital where he had been confined since Oct. 20 after suffering a fractured hip in a fall at his home.
    He had been in ill health for the past six years after suffering a stroke. After he retired, he moved to Maysville. He was a native of Bath County and a member of the Mill Creek Christian Church.
    Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Hall Ingram; a daughter, Mrs. Marie Wilson, at home; three sons, William Ingram, Campbellsville; Charles Ingram Jr., Maysville, and Douglas Ingram, Mason County, and four grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the J.W. Porter and Sons Funeral Home here by the Rev. M. Glynn Burke and the Rev. James Compton. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery in Fleming County. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
