    Larry Dean Roberts, 52, of New Castle, died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 23, 2001 at his home. Mr. Roberts was born October 25, 1948 in Kentucky, a son of the late Cleo and Lurlean Griggs Roberts. He had resided in New Castle for many years and was retired from Chrysler Corporation after 30 years of service. He was a member of the U.A.W. Local #371. He was a Vietnam War Army Veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He was also a member of the New Castle Moose Lodge. He is survived by a son, Brad Dean (wife: Dina) Roberts of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; four grandchildren, Amie Sanner, Beth Sanner, Sara Sanner and Ronnie Sanner; three brothers, Barry Roberts and Bobby Roberts both of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and Tom Roberts of Lexington, Kentucky; a sister Wanda Thomas of St. Augustine, Florida; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a son, Keith Roberts. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday January 28, 2001 at Herald-Stewart Home for Funerals in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky with Rev. Grose officiating. Burial will follow in Dickerson Cemetery, Salt Lick, Kentucky. Friends may call Friday from 5 – 9 pm Saturday at Herald-Stewart Home for Funerals in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.
