Ross Mosteller, 93, Brazil, passed away Oct 28, 2009. He was born Nov 5, 1915, in Parke County, Ind., to Homer and Ethel (Sexton) Mosteller.
Ross bought and sold scrap metal for a living. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, spending time with his family and working.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughters Linda Mosteller and Elsie Waters, sons Charles Mosteller and Jack Mosteller, and wife Mary Mosteller.
He is survived by children Carl Mosteller and Ross Mosteller Jr., Mildred Mosteller, Catherine Kennedy (Kent). Roy Mosteller(Judy), Betty Linder, Bradley Mosteller(Heather), Elwood, ex-wife
Vicki Raines, 24 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, brother Louie Mosteller, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Services will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel, Monday, Nov 2, 2009, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Center Point Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday, from 11 a.m. until time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his family.

Elsie Morgan Watters, 61, of Spencer, formerly of Brazil, died Dec. 20 at the Owen Valley Health Campus. Born Oct. 5, 1943, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Ross and Mary Mosteller. She belonged to the Baptist Church and was a truck driver. Mosteller Baby Dies of Pneumonia
Graveside rites were held at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon, May 15, for Linda Lou Mosteller, 13-day-old baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Mosteller, who died of pneumonia Sunday at the family home three miles south of Spearsville.
She was born April 30, 1951 and had been ill two days. Naomi Downs, Pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, conducted the service, followed by burial at Spearsville.
Surviving with the parents, Ross and Mary Petro Mosteller, are three brothers, Carl, Ross and Jack, and one sister, Elsie, all at home.

(Special) - Graveside services for Charles Lee Mosteller, 17, RR14, who died at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday in Clay County Hospital, will be a 2 p.m. Thursday at Center Point Cemetery, with the Rev. Harold Kollmeyer officiating. Friends may call at Lawson-Slack Funeral Home. He was formerly a student at Brazil Junior High School. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Mosteller; four sisters, Betty, Kathryn and Mildred, all at home, and Mrs. James Morgan, Spencer, four brother, Roy and Ross, both at home, Jack, Lena, and Carl, Indianapolis, and a step grandmother, Mrs. Cressie Mosteller, Indianapolis.
