    Rites for Walter G. Hedges, 73, former Indianapolis resident who died Monday at Batesville, will be held Thursday morning at Sunman. Burial will be at Connersville.
    Born in Clarksburg, Mr. Hedges had lived in Indianapolis 15 years. He had been an employee of the Polar Ice and Fuel Co. He was a member of the Brookside Lodge I.O.O.F, the East 10th Street Methodist Church and the Community Church at Sunman.
    Survivors include the widow, a daughter, Mrs. Alene Kemp, Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Burl Skinner, Detroit, and Mrs. Harry A. Hall, Edinburg, and one grandson.

    Funeral services for David Wiley Hedges, proprietor of the Hoosier tourist camp of the National road east of Indianapolis, who died Sunday, will be held at the home of his sister, Mrs. H.A. Hall, 424 Bosart avenue, at 2:30 o’clock tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery.
    Mr. Hedges died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Hall. Born in Clarksburg, Aug. 24, 1885, Mr. Hedges came to Indianapolis in 1904 and had lived here since. He had been a member of the Scottish Rite since 1919, the Masonic Blue Lodge at Zionsville and the East Tenth Street M.E. Church. Survivors in addition to Mrs. Hall are another sister, Mrs. Arthur Keage, and a half-sister, Miss June Hedges of Forty Fort, Pa.; a brother Walter G. Hedges; a son, David Wiley Hedges Jr., and three daughters, Misses Martha, Margaret and Catherine Hedges.

Former national secretary of the American Legion Auxiliary and a resident of Indianapolis most of her life, she died Tuesday in Methodist Hospital after a long illness.
    Mrs. Kresge was born at Toole, Utah, February 9, 1890, and after living in Indianapolis many years moved to Pittston, Pa., in 1928. The wife of Arthur L. Kresge by a second marriage, she returned here last April. She had been living at the home of a sister, Mrs. Harry A. Hall, at the Michigan street address and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Forty Fort (Pa.) Methodist church.
    Survivors, beside the husband and sister, are a daughter by her first marriage, Miss Margaret P. Boyd, Indianapolis; a brother, Walter G. Hedges, Sunman; a sister, Mrs. Burl Skinner, Detroit and eleven nieces and nephews.

    Gerald F. Hedges, 21 years old, 925 North Tacoma avenue, died yesterday in his home of pneumonia after an illness of two days.
    Mr. Hedges was born in Connersville March 28, 1914, and came to Indianapolis eight years ago. He attended Arsenal Technical High School and was a member of Delta Phi Theta fraternity. He also was a member of the East Tenth Street M.E. Church.
    Funeral services will be held at 10 o’clock tomorrow morning in the home and at 1 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the Connersville cemetery. The Rev. L.H. Kendall, pastor of the West Washington Street M.E. Church, formerly of Connersville, will officiate.
    Survivors are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Hedges, with who he made his home, and a sister, Mrs. Winfred Kemp of Washington.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Duvall and Martha Lytle; and a brother, David W. Hedges.
    She was a homemaker. She was a member of Lockerbie Square United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Queen Esther Chapter No. 3 Order of the Eastern Star.
    The Rev. Debra J. Grady will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. Entombment will be at Washington Park East Cemetery.
