MILO BAGLEY DIES; SERVICES FRIDAY
Mr. Milo Bagley, well-known Brookfield businessman and sports figure, died early this morning at his home, 220 East Clark St.
He was a resident of the Brookfield community for 33 years, and had owned and operated Brookfield Iron and Metal, 400 West Helm St. for the past 26 years.
Mr. Bagley belonged to the Brookfield Eagles Lodge. He was manager and sponsor of the Brookfield Iron and Metal softball team, and was prominent in the promotion of youth recreation and automotive racing in this area.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Robert Payne, assisted by the Rev. Jim Duncan, at 3 p.m. Friday in Hill Funeral Home. Burial will be in Parklawn Memory Gardens.
He was born Aug. 21, 1910 near Purdin to George Thomas and Mary Ross Bagley. On June 12, 1935, he married Ellen Skinner.
Surviving are the widow, of the home; a son, Harlin, and daughter-in-law Wanda, Brookfield; three grandsons, Johnny, 14, Joey, 11, Jerry 9; one granddaughter, Jeanie, 5; three brothers, Lee, Kenneth and Ross Bagley, all of Purdin; five sisters, Mrs. Carl (Alta) Monroe and Mrs. Ernest (Violet) Billings, Browning, Mrs. Theo Urbach, Culver, Ore.; Mrs. Jay (Leathia) Smith, Purdin; and Mrs. Perry (Vera) Skinner, Linneus; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Herbie, and one sister, Verna Alice.
